Haider is cinematic excellence, visual delight and acoustic treat for one who considers film as an experience. But, it’s slow, lengthy and confusing for one who watches movies for entertainment, entertainment and entertainment. Unnecessary detailing kills pace of the movie, should have been made tighter, particularly post interval. Valley looks picturesque. Dialogues are weak. Battle within Haider’s mind would have been portrayed much better, I guess. All lead performances are powerful and impressive, Sahid and KK Menon in particular.

In short, typical VB movie, if you have enjoyed his previous work, you will enjoy this too 🙂

Worth experiencing but less entertaining. Majority will find it slow and lengthy. Definitely not a box office material.

  1. I liked movie, specially till half; later it became bit ‘filmy’ rather something new! Crux of movie was AFSPA and its excesses and shows how army behaves like occupational forces! Army culture of loot, rape etc after ‘victory’ is universal!
